A Clear, Bright Rainy Day

Well we went to Honda Bay and took a banca to Snake Island. It was a rainy overcast day so we were kind of dubious about it but we went anyways. It was amazing and on the way out to the island the sky cleared up and it ended up being a beautiful day. The snorkeling was beautiful and we brought bread to feed to the fish and when you tossed it into the water hundreds of them swarmed around you. I am working on trying to identify them but I know we saw parrot fish and grouper and and angel fish and and and …that’s about all I know haha No pictures though cuz our camera shit the bed. Good thing we have a warranty for two years and we have insurance on it. We snorkeled for about 3-4 hours and since we started when it was very cloudy guess what we and particularly I forgot? Sun block, it was around hour two that I could feel the sun on my back and I put some on but it was too late. I am burnt and it is very painful. Krystal laughs at me a lot, she’s not nice..haha  It was not very expensive and is something that we are more than willing to do again for anyone who wants to come and visit!!!!!!

Hi Matt,

Glad you had fun and yes, have to remember how bad the sun is the closer you are to the equator. I am naturally dark but I did learn my lesson the first time I laid out in Florida, 4 hours here is like an hour there or less. It is getting really cold here, in the teens tonight. No snow yet but its a'commin. Do you guys have an Email account? I have something I would like to share with Krystal (and you if you want to read it). Keep the updates coming because I do look forward to them. Dad C.

Was the sunburn Josh-worthy lol? Remember how bad his sunburn was in Cali? I bet you even dreamt about that snorkeling trip, because you were probably reminded of it every time you turned around in bed! Hope you are better now, and that you will apply before you fry next time haha! No worries for us here, we do not see the sun in any shape or form for DAYS! And because it goes down around 4:30pm. :( I remember the days in Saipan being quite equal, sun going down between 6 and 7pm all year round - must be like that in the Phils? Will you get a new camera with the insurance or get the old one fixed? Good opportunity to replace it with a different model if you were not crazy about the old one (especially since it didn't last too long)? Thanks for the post, we love them! Love you, Mom and Dad

Hello Matt,
Honda Bay sounds great. It must be great to be so close to the fish. Have you see a Whale Shark yet?
Sound like the Sun likes you and Bugs like Krystal. Lol. I am so glad you both are enjoying life there. And you have each other. Stay safe, Love you both.
